Bedfordshire ASA announce that a ASA Timekeeper course will be taking place on Sunday 10 December 2017 at Flitwick VH, Dunstable Road, Flitwick, Beds, MK45 1HP.
This is an introduction into the world of the swimming official. It covers the practical aspects of what is required of a timekeeper by means of a theory session followed by a practical assessment at a later date and venue. The minimum age to become a timekeeper is 14 years.
You do not have to be a qualified official to attend, but you must be a current member of the Swim England or the IOS. If you are not a current member, please contact your club membership officer to arrange for you to join Swim England. This provides you with the required insurance cover whilst on the poolside.
All applicants must complete the BS application form below and send it to David Metcalf by email or by post. David’s contact details are on page two of the application form.
Please note that there is no fee due for the timekeeper course, Bedfordshire ASA will pay the ASA course fees due.
