Affiliation Fees are due annually – Swim England collects the affiliation fee for Swim England East Region and Counties.

These are due on January 1, 2019 and must have been paid by February 28, 2019. New members joining throughout the year can join at the same price.

Bedfordshire ASA Masters Decathlon Rules 2018

The Bedfordshire County Masters Swimming Decathlon is a competition based on the National Masters Decathlon in which swimmers accumulate points for up to 10 swims out of the 18 different swimming events (from the 17 long course and 18 short course) available.

Beds ASA – Phase 2 Development Camps 2018

Bedfordshire ASA will be holding two Phase 2 Development Camps: September 8th and November 17th. The camps will be held at Inspire, Luton from 2-5pm. These are for 12-year olds and the selection criteria has already been circulated. Swimmers who are selected to attend will be notified through their clubs. The main emphasis of the camps will be on Starts and Turns.

Swim England release new coaching and teaching guidelines for clubs

Swim England has released guidance on the expectations of clubs in relation to the level of coaching and teaching in all disciplines in the club environment.  It is important that clubs, administrators, coaches and teachers have the peace of mind that they are covered by appropriate insurance.

The guidance offers advice on the standard that is required by our insurers in relation to a club’s liability insurance.
