Swim England release new coaching and teaching guidelines for clubs

Swim England has released guidance on the expectations of clubs in relation to the level of coaching and teaching in all disciplines in the club environment.  It is important that clubs, administrators, coaches and teachers have the peace of mind that they are covered by appropriate insurance.

The guidance offers advice on the standard that is required by our insurers in relation to a club’s liability insurance.

Skills Coaches Wanted – EP Development Camps

The Bedfordshire ASA Development Team is working on preparations for the EP Development Camps for 11 yr olds: they will be on March 18th; July 1st; and September 30th. As last year, the commitment asked of the swimmers will be attendance at all three camps. We are seeking to appoint skills coaches again, and hope that some of last year’s observing coaches will apply.

Bedfordshire at the National Inter Counties Masters 2017

This year’s East Region Inter County Masters was held at Newmarket on November 12th. Only four Counties made it with both Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire not appearing, the gala is part of the larger National Inter Counties meet. The lead changed hands between Bedfordshire and Norfolk, with Norfolk finally winning by two points.
